Yes. A modular system can be arranged in different lengths and shapes to suit stand position, aircraft type, boarding direction and apron obstacles. The layout should be planned for each stand so it preserves emergency access, vehicle routes and safe clearance from engines and wings. 
Yes. Webbing, signs and panels can include airline or airport branding, directional arrows and passenger instructions. Safety messages should remain prominent, high-contrast and easy to understand, with branding applied without reducing visibility or creating additional loose components. 
It creates a visible controlled route and reduces the chance of passengers wandering into unsafe areas. A purpose-built system also helps ground staff deploy consistent boundaries while minimising loose components and foreign object debris. It supports, rather than replaces, trained staff supervision and the airport’s approved boarding procedure. 
High-visibility posts and retractable webbing are positioned to form a continuous corridor along the approved passenger route. The system directs passengers towards the aircraft steps or terminal entrance and blocks access to areas such as under the wings. Staff supervise the route and adjust the layout before passenger movement begins.
